
Biography
Fabio Dantas is an active violist and music educator from Brazil with an El Sistema-based teaching experience. As an orchestra musician, he has participated in several tours in Brazil, Europe, and the United States, performing in prestigious concert halls such as The Victoria Hall of Geneve, Berlin Konzerthall, Royal Festival Hall in London, Kauffman center for performing arts, Teatro Castro Alves, Sala São Paulo, and many others. He attended masterclasses where he had the opportunity to learn from renowned teachers from different places of the world, like Walter Kussner, Markus Daurnet, Jairo Chaves, Richard Young, and Peter Pas. As an educator, Fabio had the opportunity to teach in prestigious institutions based on the Venezuelan El Sistema such as NEOJIBA and Associação Nossa Senhora da Conceição; in these institutions, he shared his knowledge with kids, teenagers, and young adults who live under social and economic vulnerability. Fabio Dantas holds a Bachelor’s degree in viola performance from Nicholls State University and is currently enrolled at the University of Delaware pursuing a master's degree in Viola Performance in the studio of Dr. Elias Goldstein.
